Something is wrong in Aquae Sulis, Bath’s secret mirror city.

The new season is starting and the Master of Ceremonies is missing. Max, an Arbiter of the Split Worlds Treaty, is assigned with the task of finding him with no one to help but a dislocated soul and a mad sorcerer.

There is a witness but his memories have been bound by magical chains only the enemy can break. A rebellious woman trying to escape her family may prove to be the ally Max needs.

But can she be trusted? And why does she want to give up eternal youth and the life of privilege she’s been born into?

Please bear with me, because it has been about 3 months since I finished this book, and I am just now writing the review. What a bad blogger I am!

This book centers around Cathy, just a girl who is content with living in the city of Bath and absorbing all she can. Because, deep down she knows the time will come where everything will go back to her old life, where she was Catherine Rhoes-Papaver. You see, Cathy is part of the fae world and belongs to a very influential family in the Nether of Aquae Sulis. This is the mirror city of Bath were Fae are in control. Unfortunately, Cathy's happiness comes crashing down when she is tracked down by the Lord of the Fae Court, Lord Poppy. Once he comes into the picture, everything gets a little wild for poor Cathy!

I thought this book was a fantastic read. I remember that I flew through it extremely fast. I really enjoyed the characters as well. Max and his Gargoyle were a great pair! LoL.

I will most definitely be reading the second installment of The Split Worlds series.

4 stars to Between Two Thorns.
